All Kindle ebooks that you ever buy get associated to your account so they are available on any Kindle or Kindle app registered to your account, meaning there’s no need to “load” Kindle ebooks onto these devices, just download them from the “all” section.Ģ. Here are six different ways to load ebooks on a Kindle:ġ. Select the book that you want to send to your Kindle and click “Send to Device” from the main application window.Kindles support a few formats in addition to Kindle formats, including PDF, TXT, MOBI and PRC.Īmazon also offers a free conversion service that can convert HTML, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP files to Kindle format. Calibre will then show which books are on your Kindle (with a green tick) and which books have yet to be added (see image below).

Plug your Kindle into the computer and wait a few moments for Calibre to recognise that a Device has been connected. You can check that it has been converted by checking the preview window for this book – it will show that it is now formatted for MOBI and EPUB. This will say “1” while it is converting and will return to “0” when the job is finished.

At the bottom right-hand corner of Calibre you will notice it says “Jobs”. To read this on a Kindle, select “MOBI” and then click OK (bottom right of the window), as shown below. You can choose the “Output format” from a drop down menu in the top right corner.
